I started out making lanyards during the Covid lockdown. I noticed my kids shoving their masks into their pockets and then putting them back on dirty. I made a few very basic beaded lanyards for them and me to wear. As time went on I was making them for friends, teachers and eventually taking orders on Facebook. I eventually started playing around with different types of beads and started out making my necklaces. I noticed these cute little beaded necklaces in many stores and thought I can do that too. In the pat 60 days I have created hundreds of pieces of jewelry and learned so much about how jewelry works and how to get the finishing touches the way I like.
My 11 year old daughter decided she wanted to make bracelets as well and decided to focus on the clay beads for her designs. She sold her first ones to classmates and friends. Her work ethic is amazing and she saves every dime she makes. She has recently started trying to make rings and necklaces and explore what other creative talents she has.
I launched Lisa's Beads and More as a place to post pictures of all my work and take orders. Sadly, using a shopping cart proved to be just to much and my site crashed. So for now I will take orders via the order form and will invoice you via Paypal or Venmo.
I am a mother of TWO amazing kids who make me proud everyday! I hope that starting this website and jumping into this adventure with both feet will help to inspire them to follow their interests and what makes them happy. I spend all day sometimes just waiting until I can sit down and create these beautiful pieces. I truly love making jewelry and I hope that you will find something that appeals to you or have me create something personalized and one of a kind just for you.
